Hale Kōkua Waiwai Program

Waimānalo Health Center is now accepting applications for the Hale Kōkua Waiwai Program.

The program provides Native Hawaiian families and/or individuals on O‘ahu with rent and mortgage assistance. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and are:

  1. needing a deposit or first-month rent payments for rapid rehousing and homelessness prevention, or
  2. at-risk of homelessness with rent or mortgage payments overdue

All applicants are required to provide:

  1. valid identification (e.g., State I.D., driver’s license, etc.)
  2. proof of Native Hawaiian ancestry (e.g., birth certificate, OHA registry card, etc.)
  3. proof of residency and/or monthly rent or mortgage payment amount (e.g., signed lease agreement, verification of mortgage statement, etc.)
  4. current income documentation (e.g., recent paystubs, Social Security benefit verification letter, bank statements, most recent year tax documents, etc.).
